With the release of Blue Beetle just eleven days away, Warner Bros. is hoping for a major win in the DC department. To generate buzz, they have unveiled a new poster and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
The promotional campaign for Blue Beetle is in full swing as the film’s release date approaches. Following the disappointing performance of Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash, Warner Bros. is determined to make this movie a success. However, due to the industry’s failure to provide fair compensation to actors and writers, they are relying on posters and pre-recorded videos to promote a superhero film centered around the theme of family. Continuing the marketing push, a new poster showcasing the burger container in which Jaime finds the Scarab has been releasedtoday. Blue Beetle: Summary, Cast List, Release Date
On August 18, Warner Bros. Pictures will bring audiences the highly-anticipated feature film Blue Beetle, marking the first time this DC Super Hero will grace the big screen. Directed by the talented Angel Manuel Soto, the movie stars Xolo Maridueña as both the title character, Jaime Reyes, and his alter ego. After recently graduating from college, Jaime returns home with big dreams for his future, only to discover that his hometown has changed. In his search for purpose, fate intervenes when Jaime stumbles upon an ancient relic of alien biotechnology known as the Scarab. United with the Scarab, he gains an extraordinary suit of armor that grants him incredible powers, forever altering his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.
Joining Maridueña in the film are Adriana Barraza, Damían Alcázar, Elpidia Carrillo, Bruna Marquezine, Raoul Max Trujillo, Susan Sarandon, and George Lopez. The ensemble cast also includes Belissa Escobedo and Harvey Guillén. Under the direction of Soto and a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, Blue Beetle brings these beloved DC characters to life. Producers John Rickard, Zev Foreman, Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman, and Garrett Grant have worked tirelessly to bring this Warner Bros. Pictures production to the screen. Blue Beetle will be released internationally in August 2023 and in North America on August 18, 2023. Warner Bros. Pictures will handle global distribution.
