Cricket 24 Developer Shares a Video Talking About the Licensing Process Behind the Game

Cricket 24 releases on October 5, 2023, and it will be the next big installment to the series after Cricket 22 in 2021. The game is being developed by Big Ant Studios and it promises to bring the most authentic Cricket simulation to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Their latest developer diaries video talks about the Licensing procedure behind the game, learn more about it below.

Cricket 24 has been dubbed the “most licensed Cricket game ever.” The developers have spent years in bringing on major and minor leagues by traveling across several nations. The upcoming title will be the first time “a Cricket game goes global”.

Cricket 24 will feature a full-fledged calendar, which will allow players to play where they want when they want. They could start off in the Caribbean, then head over to India to participate in the T20s, and then head to Australia to participate in the Ashes if they wish to. Players will also get to play as other nations in this game, apart from standard inclusions like Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, and more.

Furthermore, the whole licensing procedure also brings another element into the mix and that is licensed equipment. Hence, we will get to see even more bat, helmet, gloves, and pads manufacturers in the game, which will provide players with a more authentic feel to the game. This will also provide an even more true-to-life feel to fans when playing with the licensed cricketers.
