Updates bring bug fixes and enhance performance for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5

The latest firmware update, ZWF4, for the Galaxy 4 and Galaxy 5 Watches brings significant bug fixes, addressing issues that were caused by the previous Beta release. One of the major complaints from users was the noticeable sluggishness of their smartwatches after installing the initial Beta version. Samsung acknowledges this problem and states that it has made partial improvements in this regard with the second Beta release.
Samsung has also addressed other issues in the release notes. One of them relates to addressing the problem of fast battery consumption. Additionally, the update resolves an issue where Samsung Pay would not function properly after an OS update. Furthermore, it introduces the “Watch4 bicycle riding exercise” feature to the “Auto Exercise Recognition” options. Notably, several undisclosed improvements have also been made to Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5.
To install the update on your Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 5, you can directly do it from the watch itself. Simply navigate to Settings, scroll down to Software update, and tap on it. Alternatively, you can use an Android phone to carry out the update. Ensure that your watch has a minimum charge of 30%. From the paired phone, open the Galaxy Wearable app, go to Watch settings, and select Watch software update. If available, swipe to the Home tab and choose Watch software update or Band software update. Finally, tap Download and install.

During the upcoming Unpacked event in late July, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 and the premium Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
