Limited iOS and Android users are experimenting with a fresh appearance for the Google Photos app

Google Photos serves as the default photo and video app for Pixel users and is also available for Android and iOS users. The app includes helpful editing tools. According to Android Police, Google is implementing some modifications to the app’s user interface and UI elements, which involve removing the bottom navigation bar. Nail Sadykov, the head of the Google News Telegram channel, shared images showcasing the new UI, which has been rolled out to a limited number of users.
One significant change is the addition of a Memories tab on the bottom navigation bar, which now floats at the bottom of the screen. The search tab is now represented by a circular floating button located at the bottom right corner, while the Sharing tab has been relocated to the top right corner, to the left of the profile picture. Additionally, the Google Photos logo now resides at the upper left corner of the display, instead of the middle.
Sadykov speculates that this UI overhaul is merely a test on Google’s behalf, since it has only been introduced to a “narrow range” of Android and iOS devices. As a result, Sadykov suggests that Google is not fully committed to this new design, which explains the limited release.

Google may evaluate the feedback it receives from Android and iOS users regarding the UI changes in Google Photos. Regardless of the reception, it seems that Google is not prepared to implement these changes on a wide scale just yet.
