Thanks to The Ready Room, we also get a glimpse of what’s in store after a time portal sends Boimler through time. Captain Pike and the crew must ensure he returns to his correct timeline without causing any damage. Watch the preview below to see Boimler’s awakening in a three-dimensional world, starting around the 29:00 mark:

Jonathan Frakes shared his excitement about the crossover episode, describing it as “so good” and a full-on comedy. The animated characters from another show blend seamlessly into the Enterprise, allowing the actors on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to embrace broader performances. Frakes praised the energy of Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome, and the positive impact this crossover had on the cast. If executive producer Akiva Goldsman has his way, there may be more crossovers in the future, as long as they serve the story and provide a genuine storytelling opportunity.
