Spider-Man 2 has plenty of Easter eggs, but one in particular is a sweet tribute to late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman.
As IGN’s Easter egg guide breaks down, it involves a new interaction at the Wakandan Embassy in the Midtown district, which was a location in both previous Spider-Man games as well. The player can approach the front door of the embassy as Miles, where they get the prompt to press △ to “Honor.” In doing so, Miles crosses his arms over his chest, performing the iconic Wakanda Forever gesture.

It’s obviously a brief interaction, but still a touching one. It’s also not the first time Boseman has been remembered by Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which was released just a few months after Boseman tragically passed away in 2020, included a brief message remembering the actor during the credits:
“In loving memory of a noble king, Chadwick Boseman. His honor, strength, and compassion will reverberate for generations to come. Wakanda forever.”
That game also changed the name of 42nd Street to “Chadwick Way” – a callout to Boseman’s breakout role as Jackie Robinson in the film 42.
