Here’s How Shazam Can Now Identify Songs from YouTube and Instagram

Shazam is introducing an exciting new update that enhances the user experience by allowing them to easily identify or tag a song they are listening to in other apps. Apple has recently updated the Shazam app to support third-party apps like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Shazam’s new capability to detect songs from other apps: How it works
According to the official release notes, Shazam users can now use the app to identify songs playing on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Users simply need to open the Shazam app, tap the Blue button, and switch back to the app where the music was playing.

With this new feature, users can do more than just find songs from someone’s Reels or a random song from a YouTube video. They also have the option to tag a song, which automatically adds it to their Shazam playlist and keeps a log of all the tagged songs.
Since Apple’s acquisition of Shazam, the app has received several new features. It now integrates with Control Centre on iOS for faster access and easier song discovery. Additionally, Apple has added quick settings integration for Android users.
The Shazam app is available for free download on both Android and iOS devices.

3. Switch to the other app and start playing the music.

4. Return to Shazam, tap the Blue button, and go back to the app where the music was playing.
