GYLT, a game previously exclusive to Stadia, is now on Steam, suggesting a possible upcoming release for PC.

Spanish developer Tequila Works released their third game, GYLT, as a launch exclusive for the Google Stadia platform in November 2019. Despite the platform’s unsuccessful launch in early 2020, Tequila Works CEO Raul Rubio believed in the importance of cloud gaming and defended the platform by beckoning people to wait for mind-blowing features that were promised by Google. While those features were never revealed and Stadia officially shut down earlier this year, cloud gaming is still considered to be important for the future. Various developers have been working to bring Stadia exclusives like GYLT to PC and consoles, and the newly published Steam page suggests that the game may be released soon.

GYLT is a narrative adventure game with stealth, puzzle, and action elements. The game follows the story of Sally, a young girl who is being chased by bullies and is searching for her missing friend, Emily. Sally somehow finds herself in a twisted version of her hometown filled with her nightmares and fears. The game’s soundtrack was composed by Cris Velasco, and the Steam page reveals some extra details about the game, such as the co-developer for this port, Parallel Circles, and the system requirements.

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Processor: i7-2600K

The Steam page only addresses the arrival of a PC version of GYLT, but it is possible that the game will be released on consoles, too. However, it remains unclear whether Tequila Works will improve the game in any way, since the original reviews for the Stadia version were not particularly positive.
