Guide to the Garden of Salvation Raid in Destiny 2

Are you struggling to complete the Destiny 2 Garden of Salvation raid? This challenging raid, introduced in the Shadowkeep expansion, takes place in the Black Garden and requires you to defeat several tough bosses in order to conquer the Vex. Raids are considered the pinnacle of Destiny’s endgame content and necessitate a team of six players to navigate a series of puzzles and progressively difficult boss fights. The rewards for completing the raid include visually stunning weapons and armor that are thematically aligned with the raid’s atmosphere. Additionally, you have the opportunity to earn powerful Destiny 2 Exotic weapons that stand above the rest in terms of strength. Although raids vary in size and complexity, the Garden of Salvation raid in Shadowkeep is quite extensive, comparable in magnitude to the Forsaken’s Last Wish raid. To assist you in conquering this Vex-infested gauntlet, we have compiled a comprehensive guide that walks you through each encounter’s mechanics in order to pinpoint any potential missteps.

First encounter – Evade the Consecrated Mind – Embrace:
To triumph in the first encounter of the Garden of Salvation raid, follow these steps:
1. Commence by creating a chain of tethers to the Vex barrier.
2. One group should advance to the next barrier, eliminating the Angelic enemy en route and tethering to open the barrier.
3. The second group should remain near the Consecrated Mind boss to gather Voltaic Overflow.
4. When the Consecrated Mind moves, the second group should push forward to the new area.
5. Continuously collect Voltaic Overflow and tether to open barriers.
6. Once you reach the open field, collect Voltaic Overflow and sprint to the other side to complete the encounter.

It’s important to note that the massive boss is not your primary concern in this encounter, as your actions will have little impact on it. Instead, your team must tether themselves and connect the tether from a floating cube to a force-field door. Once the door is open, half of your raid team should remain behind while the other three players proceed through the newly opened passage. The team staying behind should focus on eliminating enemies rather than battling the boss. Beware of the vomit attack that spews a peculiar digital mess onto the ground; one of the three teammates must run over it and collect the Voltaic Overflow buff, which lasts for a brief period. Remember, if a player collects a second buff, they will die. Therefore, it is essential to distribute the buffs among the trio. Failing to pick up one of these buffs will result in the entire team’s demise. The team that ventured through the door must advance aggressively, eliminating every enemy they encounter, causing the boss to move. In the subsequent room, you will encounter additional Overflow enemies and an Angelic boss. After defeating the Angelic, you will discover another digital box to tether to yet another door. After this phase, the two teams must swap roles: the team that initially progressed through the door should stay put, while the team that previously dealt with the digital vomit must advance into the next area. This process repeats a few times until you reach the final room. In this last room, the entire raid team will unite, and you will be faced with three digital boxes that must be tethered together to open the very last room. You must prioritize clearing enemies, such as goblins and Cyclops, to progress through this area. Your sole objective is to swiftly navigate through this section, eliminating enemies along the way, all while keeping up with the retreating boss, which continues to emit Voltaic Overflow that is essential for your survival. If you manage to progress far enough, a reward chest will appear, signifying the completion of the first encounter.

Second encounter – Summon the Consecrated Mind – Undergrowth:
To overcome the second encounter in the Garden of Salvation raid, follow these steps:
1. Commence by eliminating the goblins at the center.
2. Assign two players to defend the totem while the remaining four players rotate to the next totem.
3. Repeat this process: four players clear the second totem while leaving one player to defend, then three players clear the third totem while leaving one player to defend, and finally, two players clear the fourth totem while leaving one player to defend.
4. The player from the first totem and the last player should float between totems, assisting in clearing enemies.
5. These floating players will also refresh the Enlightened buff.
6. Angelic enemies will attack each totem, totaling twelve in this encounter.
7. After defeating all the Angelics, the center barrier will drop.
8. All players should converge in the center and defend the final totem until the encounter is cleared.

To access the second encounter, shoot the lily pads and leap across them until you arrive in a new arena with yet another tethering mechanism. Your objective is to defend four tether points, with one player assigned to each point, while two players alternate between multiple tether points. A multitude of Angelic enemies must be eliminated, and defeating one will unlock the associated tether point, allowing you to shoot it and tether yourself. However, there’s a catch—the tether’s length is insufficient, requiring two players to connect each anchor point. This will grant you the Enlightened buff, lasting 45 seconds, which is crucial for breaking through the immune shields of the subsequent wave of enemies, consisting of Vex ads charging the tether points to destroy them. It is imperative to rotate the buff among all players to ensure everyone can fend off these enemies, as an excessive number of enemies breaking through will result in failure. This is why you have two mobile teammates who can continually switch between tether points to ensure the buff is consistently reapplied. Stay vigilant and adhere to this pattern, and eventually, the barriers in the center of the arena will open, prompting everyone to abandon their current tasks and rush to the center, where a new tether point awaits defense. New Angelic enemies will emerge, along with some immune suicide enemies, necessitating the tethering of all players to the center tether point to share the buff. Continue in this manner, and a new loot chest will materialize.

Third encounter – Defeat Consecrated Mind:
To emerge victorious in the third encounter of the Garden of Salvation raid, follow these steps:
1. Create a tether to initiate the encounter.
2. Three players should head to the bank and eliminate Minotaurs.
3. Collect the motes dropped by the Minotaurs and deposit them.
4. Follow the Consecrated Mind with three players.
5. One player should collect Voltaic Overflow and communicate when its eyes turn red and their location (inside or outside).
6. Rotate roles if all three players have Voltaic Overflow.
7. When 30 motes are collected, track the boss and shoot all its red eyes to stun it.
8. Shoot the center of the boss as it retreats.
9. Repeat this process until the Consecrated Mind’s health bar is depleted.

The next encounter begins right where the previous one ended. Once again, link all six members of the team to one of the distant tether points, prompting the boss from the first encounter to spawn in the center. You still cannot harm the boss, and you must endure a considerable amount of damage until the boss relocates. It is crucial to communicate the boss’s movements to your team, as everyone must follow it since it will perform the Voltaic Overflow wipe mechanic wherever it goes. Divide your team into two groups: one group handles the boss and its wipe mechanic, while the other group collects Voltaic Motes and deposits them at the illuminated tether point. This will trigger the Enlightened buff, and after amassing roughly 30 Voltaic Motes, a boss damage phase will ensue. Now, with the boss trio, track the boss’s movements at all times. Follow the boss and ensure that one player collects the digital vomit buff while the other players position themselves on either side. This time, the buff functions differently due to a new Detained mechanic, which immobilizes the buffed player. At this stage,…
