Leaked information unveils Galaxy S21 FE details, including specs and pricing

More detailed information about the relaunched Galaxy S21 FE has surfaced online, shedding light on what we can expect from the phone’s re-release in India. The latest leak suggests that the phone will come with a Snapdragon chip and provides a recommended price tag for the market. Last week, reports emerged that Samsung plans to reintroduce the Galaxy S21 FE in India, this time with a Snapdragon chipset instead of the Exynos chipset. The Korean tech giant has now officially confirmed the Galaxy S21 FE 2023 through its website, and it appears that we also have access to the device’s specifications and features.

These details were obtained from an internal training document, which was reportedly acquired by The Tech Outlook (via Slash Leaks). However, those hoping for significant upgrades beyond the Snapdragon 888 chipset might be disappointed. The leaked documents confirm that the phone will indeed feature the Snapdragon 888 processor, along with a 6.4-inch 120Hz OLED screen, a 4,500mAh battery, 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Notably, the storage capacity has been improved compared to the original S21 FE, which only offered 128GB of base storage.

The leaked information also includes camera details. The Galaxy S21 FE 2023 will reportedly sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens. The front-facing camera is said to be a 32MP sensor. There don’t seem to be any significant changes in the camera department compared to the previous model.

The leaked documents further indicate that the phone will be available in the familiar Galaxy S21 FE color options, such as Graphite, Lavender, and Olive. However, Samsung is also introducing a Navy Blue color variant.

Lastly, the leaked documents suggest a price tag of Rs 49,999 (~$608). Currently, the 128GB version of the original Galaxy S21 FE is priced at Rs 39,999 (~$486) on Flipkart, while the 256GB model is listed at Rs 59,999 (~$730). Therefore, it is possible that the relaunched variant will come with a significant discount.

Interestingly, the documents also mention that Samsung considers the OnePlus 11R to be the most notable competitor in the Android market. According to the leaked information, the Galaxy S21 FE offers benefits such as telephoto zoom, a lighter design with an IP68 rating, and higher resolution secondary cameras. However, the OnePlus 11R boasts a more powerful processor, faster wired charging, and a larger battery.

There is no information available yet regarding the software update plans for the relaunched handset. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if the device receives a similar update promise as the original model. Therefore, don’t expect the Galaxy S21 FE 2023 to be supported for an extended period of time just yet.
