Fans can expect the film to add some spookiness to their Christmas season as it is set to be released on December 20, 2023.
While the film’s plot is still shrouded in mystery with no official title yet, it has been referred to as “Firehouse,” which is a nod to the Ghostbusters’ famous New York headquarters. The film is a direct continuation of Ghostbusters: Afterlife and stars McKenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Paul Rudd, who are all returning for the latest adventure. The cast also features Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind.
In Afterlife, it was revealed that Coon’s character, Callie, is the granddaughter of Egon, and her children Phoebe and Trevor (played by Grace and Wolfhard) were set up to continue the Ghostbusters legacy.
