Frisco has partnered with Bonfire to assist the town with internet and broadband planning, which includes a feasibility study, analysis and design of a new fiber optic broadband network in town, according to a news release.

The first step is to determine resident and business internet needs and the speed of internet services currently being used by residents and businesses, the release states. The town and Bonfire are asking residents and businesses to fill out a quick survey and run an internet speed test on a device connected to their internet provider by May 31. Go to FriscoBroadband.com to complete the survey and test.

Frisco has made it a strategic priority to support more reliable and faster internet service for town residents and businesses, the release states. Over the past few years, the town has been installing conduits when possible during larger construction and street projects, to allow for the installation of fiber infrastructure in the future, according to the town government.
