Larian Studios has confirmed that they are working on more than 1,000 “fixes and tweaks” for the PlayStation 5 port of Baldur’s Gate 3.
The team has been dedicated to resolving various technical bugs in the role-playing game through a series of hotfixes.
From character eye rolling reminiscent of the Exorcist to missing underwear for male gnome sorcerers, players have played a vital role in identifying and resolving these issues in Baldur’s Gate 3.
We’re all very enthusiastic about your feedback. It’s incredibly rewarding. Our current focus is fixing any reported issues, but we are also listening to suggestions. Our roadmap includes: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (with over 1,000 fixes and tweaks), c) Patch 2. The latter will already incorporate some requested features.

Now, Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke has revealed that their focus is divided into three parts. Currently, they are working on Hotfix 4, although there is no specified release date.
The first patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 will address over 1,000 points of improvement. As a result, fan requests such as a different ending for a certain character or the ability to rename bags and pouches will have a lower priority.
Lastly, the second patch will be released, which will already include some requested features according to Vincke. One of these features is likely the community’s request for the ability to change their character’s appearance on the fly.
In NME’s five-star review of Baldur’s Gate 3, they praised the game’s dynamic reactions to player choices and the well-crafted characterization of companions.
“It’s executed phenomenally well–mainly because the enemies can use the same tactics as you. The result is one of the most engaging turn-based battle systems ever created,” said Andy Brown.
In other news, a player shared their nearly flawless strategy for defeating bosses in Baldur’s Gate 3–dropping a giant Owlbear on top of them from a great height. You can check it out here.
