HMD N195V will be offered by Verizon

HMD is considering a strategic shift, opting to move away from Nokia smartphones in favour of their own branded devices. Recently, renders of their inaugural self-branded phone surfaced, revealing it to be based on the Nokia C32 and positioned as an affordable option. You can find detailed information about the device here.

The pivotal question is how HMD intends to regain market share following their less-than-ideal experience with Nokia phones. One proposed strategy involves forging partnerships with carriers, and the prime market for such collaborations is the United States. In the US, carriers still provide reasonably priced devices that cater to the general population, and the N159V is a prime example of such a phone. Thanks to Evan Blass, a prominent leaker in the smartphone industry, indications suggest that Verizon will be the first carrier to carry this model.

Thus, the plan is now laid bare, with HMD aiming to test the waters in the smartphone market, beginning with the US where they have already demonstrated success with their existing portfolio, sold both independently and through carriers.
