Here’s why you might happily pay more for the iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro comes with a starting storage capacity of 128GB, but there are rumors suggesting that the iPhone 15 Pro will offer even more storage options, possibly including a 2TB variant. Addressing the speculation about increased storage, Mark Gurman, a journalist from Bloomberg, shared his thoughts and hinted at a potential price increase.
The iPhone 14 Pro is priced at $999, while the Pro Max variant starts at $1,099. Despite their higher prices, these models have been incredibly popular this year, outselling the more affordable standard and Plus versions, according to various estimates.

Gurman explains that customers currently pay an extra $100 to $200 for higher storage tiers, but Apple’s cost of providing additional storage is significantly lower. By introducing more storage options, Apple can increase its revenue and raise the average selling price without incurring substantial expenses, as profit margins for storage are substantial.

Expanding the base storage capacity allows Apple to justify a price increase effortlessly, while also giving consumers the perception of gaining more value by paying more.
Recent reports suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro may offer an 8GB RAM option alongside the standard 6GB, although this could potentially depend on the selected storage capacity.
The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to bring about several changes, including titanium edges, slimmer bezels, upgraded camera lenses, a new 3nm chipset, and a periscope camera for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Although one leaker dismissed these changes as mediocre and advised users to wait for the iPhone 16 series next year, it seems that millions of consumers are already prepared to purchase the most expensive model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
