Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is set to launch in just over a month, and fans are eagerly awaiting more information about the game. Recently, some enthusiasts in Japan caught a glimpse of the game’s box art, which revealed some intriguing details about its multiplayer component.
FromSoftware has confirmed that Armored Core VI will feature PvP multiplayer, but specifics have been scarce. However, according to the leaked box art, the game will offer online battles for up to six players, with the option for up to three spectators. While this player limit may seem like a step back compared to previous installments which allowed for more players and even co-op, ultimately, the enjoyment of the game’s multiplayer experience is what truly matters.

If you haven’t been keeping up with Armored Core VI, here’s the game’s latest story trailer and an official description of its world:
“A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. This substance was believed to revolutionize humanity’s technology and communications as an energy source. However, instead of progress, the substance caused a catastrophic event that engulfed the planet and its neighboring stars in flames and storms. This gave birth to the Burning Star System.
Almost fifty years later, the same mysterious substance resurfaces on Rubicon 3, a now-contaminated and isolated planet. Extraterrestrial corporations and resistance factions now compete for dominance over the substance. In the midst of this struggle, the player enters Rubicon as a mercenary and becomes embroiled in the conflict with the corporations and other factions.”
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 starting from August 25th.
