Microsoft is revolutionizing the gaming experience for Xbox users by introducing a new feature that allows them to effortlessly receive tips and suggestions from their Discord friends.
This groundbreaking feature enables Xbox owners to stream their gameplay directly to their Discord contacts, fostering a more immersive and interactive gaming community.
According to The Verge, this feature is currently undergoing testing by select Xbox Insiders and will soon be rolled out to all Xbox users.
The feature is seamlessly integrated into the Xbox Discord app, accessible through the Parties & Chats section of the Xbox dashboard. Furthermore, users can conveniently choose between streaming in 720 or 1080p resolution, as well as 30 or 60 fps, depending on their preferences. It’s important to note that the latter option requires Discord Nitro.
If you momentarily switch to your dashboard while playing, your stream will automatically pause and seamlessly resume once you re-enter the game, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted viewing experience.
However, it’s important to mention that the Xbox Discord app currently does not support viewing other users’ streams. Nonetheless, Microsoft has continually enhanced the Discord integration on Xbox since its launch in September 2020, making it highly likely that additional features, such as the ability to view friends’ streams from the console app, will be introduced in the future.
