Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the next premium model of its foldable phone series in 2023. The tech giant has continuously refined its foldable phone formula, making improvements to display tech, durability, camera capabilities, and internal hardware. Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, rumors suggest that it could be launched in mid-to-late August or even as early as July 2023. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to have multiple upgrades, including a teardrop-style hinge that ensures both sides of the display close flat on top of each other, reducing the appearance of the display crease. It may come in Beige, Black and Light Blue color options, with a 108MP main shooter, a 64MP 2x telephoto lens, and a 12MP wide-angle camera. The phone is expected to retain the same 6.2-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner screen. Samsung’s new design is expected to enable an official rating against dust, thanks to the IP58 rating. The phone may also feature a newer SoC, depending on whether the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 is announced before the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
