The plot suggests that Steve Rogers may return later on, while The Maker takes on the role of Victor Von Doom and opens up Latveria to the world, hosting a grand celebration similar to the Hellfire Gala. However, the event is attacked by individuals from the future attempting to stop The Maker’s influence. Orchis serves as another opposing force against Professor Xavier’s plans. The comic also channels the influence of Mark Millar, featuring a plot twist and execution that feels like something Millar would write. The solicitations for upcoming Ultimate comic books hint at the presence of the real Doctor Doom and Kang. In Ultimate Invasion #2, The Maker plans to prevent the Avengers from becoming heroes and reshape the universe according to his desires. Ultimate Invasion #3 sees the Illuminati regrouping after KANG’s arrival, while Doctor Doom prepares to confront The Maker. The ultimate universe starts to deteriorate as they prepare for cosmic war. In the final issue, Ultimate Invasion #4, war breaks out as timelines and universes collide. Iron Man must choose between The Maker and Kang, and the world outside the window will forever change. Ultimate Universe #1 introduces a new team of heroes who come together to save the future after the events of Ultimate Invasion.
