The U.S. release of Samsung’s upcoming high-end Galaxy Watch is approaching.

Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event in July is expected to unveil a new line of smartwatches, including the highly anticipated Galaxy Watch 6 series. In addition to these timepieces, Samsung could also be launching the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9.

The latest report from MySmartPrice suggests that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has received certification from the Federal Communications Commission, a crucial step before the device is released for sale in the United States. The 42mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will carry the model number SM-R955, while the 46mm variant will be named SM-R965.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, featuring a circular dial with a 1.47-inch display and a 470 x 470 resolution. It will also come with a 425mAh battery to keep the device powered throughout the day.

MySmartPrice and OnLeaks have created renders of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and reports suggest it will be the premium smartwatch model of the year, boasting Google’s Wear OS. Samsung has been using Wear OS in its last two smartwatch series, replacing its own Tizen operating system.

In terms of charging, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will support 10W wireless charging, with the same wireless charger (ER-OR900) that accompanied the Galaxy Watch 5 series. With the imminent arrival of the new Samsung devices, the tech world can’t wait to see what other features and innovations Samsung has in store for its loyal customers.
