It seems that The Flash can’t catch a break. Not only did it fail to outperform a Marvel movie that’s more than 20 years old in its opening weekend, but now it’s facing further embarrassment as another comic book-based film, released almost a decade ago, executed a similar concept much better. In other news, a star from Secret Invasion has sparked a worrisome theory just days before its release, and Sony has unveiled the first look at their new live-action Spider-Man movie since Morbius.

Secret Invasion finally premieres on Disney Plus this week, and one of the long-standing stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has dropped a hint that could turn the entire franchise on its head. During a red carpet interview about the mystery of who could be a Skrull, Don Cheadle, who plays War Machine, cryptically said, “Trust no one” before walking away. Both films involve a hero traveling back in time, forming an alliance with a reluctant partner, and attempting to fix the timeline and prevent a known villain from wreaking havoc. However, only one of them delivers epic speedster action.

Kraven the Hunter trailer suggests it could be a good movie… but not a faithful adaptation

The first trailer for Kraven the Hunter has arrived, and while it may not be as disappointing as Morbius, it seems to miss the mark in capturing what makes the Spider-Man villain so beloved in the comics. Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s portrayal of the anti-hero as a vigilante with the ability to communicate with animals was unexpected. While he looks good in the role, it’s difficult to see him as the authentic Kraven. However, the poster recreating the iconic Kraven’s Last Hunt cover is a nice touch.
