The clamshell Motorola Razr 40 Ultra’s press renders leaked, showcasing three color choices.

Press renders of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra have been leaked by leaker Evan Blass. Available in Black, Blue, and Red color options, the renders confirm the device’s name and its Quick View screen, which is the largest external display on any clamshell foldable this year, measuring 3.5 inches. Previous Razr models had a 2.7-inch Quick View screen.
Rumored specs include a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2640 resolution and a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 application processor, and its external display is almost square with a 1056 x1066 resolution. It could come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and has a 3640mAh battery that supports 33W charging.
The dual camera array includes a Sony IMX563 sensor-backed 12MP primary camera and a 13MP ultra-wide lens supported by SK Hynix’s Hi1336 sensor. The internal screen features a 32MP hole-punch selfie snapper driven by OmniVision OV32B40 sensor. Motorola will pre-install Android 13 on the phone.

The Razor 40 Ultra will compete against clamshell flippers such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and 5, the Oppo Find N2 Flip, and the Vivo X Flip. Last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was the top-selling foldable smartphone globally, and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was the top-selling foldable phone.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra may be unveiled alongside the Motorola Razr 40 in a few weeks. The Razr (2022) was not released in the U.S. last year, so the official unveiling is awaited to find out what Lenovo/Motorola has planned for this year.
