Gen V Executive Producer Seth Rogen discussed the upcoming The Boys spinoff, including how the series has “some really crazy s**t in it.”

In some way, shape, or form, Amazon, **Michele Fazekas** & **Tara Butters**’ *Gen V* is set to make a major impact at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Executive Producer Seth Rogen reassured fans that the upcoming spinoff of Showrunner Eric Kripke’s *The Boys* will feature “some truly mind-blowing content.” Rogen also mentioned that sometimes, creating these shock-worthy moments may require an additional discussion with Amazon to ensure they are aligned.

Rogen revealed in an interview with *Empire* that “‘Gen V’ will have some truly mind-blowing content. The fact that the characters are in college and are slightly younger adds to the shock value,” ensuring that fans can anticipate the same brutally honest storytelling as the original series. With the freedom of an “R” rating, the creative team has the liberty to explore various themes. However, Rogen emphasized that while they have creative freedom, there may occasionally be the need for a brief discussion with Amazon regarding certain aspects of the show.

The spinoff, set at Godolkin University, America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes, delves into the lives of hormonally charged Supes, pushing their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries as they compete for the top spot in the school’s ranking. The talented cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Marco Pigossi, Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert, and Jason Ritter. Additionally, familiar faces from the main series, such as Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett), and P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke), will reprise their roles. Take a look at the teaser released in December 2022:

Fazekas and Butters are the showrunners, and they executive produce alongside Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, and Michaela Starr. Brant Engelstein serves as a co-executive producer, with Loreli Alanís as the executive in charge for Point Grey Pictures.
