Riot Games Unveils Soul Fighter: A New Cross-Game Summer Event

Introducing Soul Fighter: A Multi-Game Event by Riot Games

Riot Games is hosting an extraordinary event this summer called Soul Fighter, where multiple games will converge and cross over. League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra will all be infused with exciting in-game content, game modes, skins, and gameplay features. This six-week event, starting on July 20th and ending on August 28th, aims to pay homage to the fighting game genre.

To kick off the event, Riot Games is hosting a livestream competition called Soul Fighter: Fight Night. Sixteen content creators will battle it out both in-game and out-of-game to earn the coveted title of Fight Night Champion. This exciting event will be held in Los Angeles and broadcast live on Monday, July 17th at 6pm PT.

League of Legends:
In League of Legends, the world’s most-played PC MOBA, players can expect a new game mode called “Arena,” twelve stunning Soul Fighter skins, an in-client metagame experience, and the introduction of a brand new champion named Naafiri, the Hound of a Hundred Bites. Arena is a dynamic game mode where four teams of two players compete in rotating combat rounds, utilizing unique Augments to gain an advantage. The battlefields vary in size, terrain, and theme, with occasional appearances from Soul Fighter universe champions. The addition of stunning skins and an in-client metagame experience called the Tournament of Souls will elevate the League of Legends experience even further.

Teamfight Tactics:
Teamfight Tactics, the leading auto-battler game, is introducing the Soul Brawl game mode as part of the Soul Fighter event. This temporary game mode consists of a Training phase and a Tournament phase, where players compete for Soul Power and face elimination in a best-of-three bracket. Additionally, players can immerse themselves in the in-client narrative experience, The Choncc Dome, where Champions and Tacticians join forces to prepare for the Tournament of Souls. New Tacticians, an Event Pass, and the Mythic arena, Tournament of Souls, will add depth and excitement to Teamfight Tactics.

League of Legends: Wild Rift:
League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games’ mobile MOBA, is bringing the exhilarating Tag Duel game mode to the Soul Fighter event. Players engage in one-on-one combat, selecting three champions each and utilizing seamless swaps to create powerful combinations. The first player to reach four kills emerges as the victor. Furthermore, a champion named Nilah, the Joy Unbound, will make her debut. Players can look forward to an immersive in-client narrative experience, where they will uncover an original story set in the world of Soul Fighter. By progressing through the event, players can unlock Arcade Mode, participate in mini-games, and earn exclusive rewards.

Legends of Runeterra:
Legends of Runeterra, the acclaimed digital card game, joins the Soul Fighter event with new skins, an event pass, and captivating emotes and cardbacks. Players can expect an array of Soul Fighter-inspired skins for champions like Nidalee, Viego, Sett, Samira, Jhin, Gwen, Pyke, and Evelynn. Alongside these cosmetic upgrades, the event pass offers exciting rewards for players to unlock.

In a gesture of philanthropy, Riot Games will contribute 20% of the proceeds from Soul Fighter Samira, the Soul Fighter Event Pass, and related bundle sales in League of Legends to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund. By participating in the Soul Fighter event, players not only immerse themselves in an unforgettable gaming experience but also contribute to a worthy cause.
