Returnal PC Release Date Set for February 15, System Requirements Revealed

Returnal, the popular roguelike game that was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 5, is now making its way to PC. The PC port, developed by Housemarque and Climax Studios, comes with exciting new features and system requirements. Players can look forward to enhanced graphics with the support of Nvidia’s DLSS and AMD’s FSR upscaling techniques. Additionally, the game offers DualSense compatibility, allowing players to experience haptic feedback while exploring the eerie alien planets. To pre-order Returnal on PC, visit Steam or the Epic Games Store, where it is available for Rs. 3,999.

Returnal PC New Features

The PC version of Returnal comes with a range of new features and customizable settings. With the implementation of Nvidia and AMD’s upscaling methods, players can increase their framerate without compromising on resolution or visual quality. This is particularly important for a fast-paced game like Returnal, with its abundance of moving objects that can put a strain on the GPU. The addition of NIS (Nvidia Image Scaling) provides an alternative for players who do not have the hardware to support DLSS or FSR but still want improved performance.

Returnal on PC also includes ray-traced shadows that were present in the original PS5 version. However, co-developer Climax Studios has gone a step further by introducing ray-traced reflections, which enhances the contrast and intensifies the visual experience. Other notable features of the PC version include unlocked framerates, support for ultra-wide monitors, performance metrics such as FPS counter and GPU/CPU usage gauge, and a latency tracker.

All of these enhancements are complemented by Dolby Atmos Audio, further immersing players in the game. Returnal on PC also supports keyboard and mouse controls, offering a wide range of customization options. Players can adjust the field-of-view (FOV) using the slider to expand their view of the surroundings on-screen.

However, it’s important to note that co-op mode does not support cross-play with players on the PS5 console, as mentioned by Housemarque.
