Paramount+ continues to remove content from its streaming library, including Inside Amy Schumer, Nickelodeon programming, and more.
Remember when streaming promised us a vast library of films and television shows available anytime we wanted? Well, it’s clear that those promises were broken as streaming services continue to remove shows from their shrinking catalogs. In the latest round of removals, Paramount+ has taken down several titles, with Inside Amy Schumer being the most notable. This comes even as Paramount uses the fifth season of the show for Emmy nominations. The removals follow the recent cancellations of Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Star Trek: Prodigy, The Game, and Queen of the Universe from the streaming service. But it’s not just Amy Schumer’s series that’s gone. A number of other television and film titles, as well as Nickelodeon programming, have also been removed.
The removed television and streaming titles include Inside Amy Schumer, the docuseries From Cradle to Stage, the anthology thriller Tell Me a Story, and the docuseries Ghislaine: Partner in Crime. On the film side, Fantasy Football starring Marsai Martin, Omari Hardwick, and Kelly Rowland, as well as Snow Day starring Rob Huebel, have been removed. Nickelodeon programming that’s no longer available on the streaming service includes All In With Cam Newton, Allegra’s Window, Becca’s Bunch, Bella and the Bulldogs, Crashletes, Digby Dragon, The Fresh Beat Band, The Halo Effect, Legendary Dudas, Monsters vs. Aliens, Mutt & Stuff, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Peter Rabbit, Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Ride, and The Troop. As multimedia companies face the consequences of their poor streaming decisions, the removal of content has unfortunately become a common practice. However, FAST channels have stepped in as a last-minute savior for titles that haven’t been released physically.
