Last month marked the TV debut of legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger in the action-comedy series “FUBAR.” With its star-studded cast, gripping storyline, and thrilling action, the show quickly gained a dedicated fanbase. Now, fans will be delighted to know that “FUBAR” has been renewed for a second season. Netflix made the announcement during the ongoing TUDUM event in Brazil.
The series follows Schwarzenegger’s character, Luke Brenner, a CIA operative who discovers that his daughter, Emma, also works for the agency. They realize that they barely know each other. Despite Luke’s plans for retirement, they join forces to stop a dangerous arms dealer named Boro. Along the way, they repair their relationship and find common ground. “FUBAR” also stars Monica Barbaro as Emma and Gabriel Luna as Boro, with Milan Carter, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Barbara Eve Harris, and Fabiana Udenio rounding out the main cast.
Besides its adrenaline-pumping action, “FUBAR” captured audiences with its dynamic father-daughter duo, great chemistry among the cast, and an all-around entertaining premise. In his review, Nate Richard of Collider said, “There is a lot of heart, and you do truly start to care about some of the characters.” It’s no wonder that the series dominated the Netflix Top 10 charts upon its release, even surpassing the popular series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”
What to Expect From “FUBAR” Season 2
Since the series just premiered last month, it’s too early to tell when Season 2 will be released on Netflix. However, we can expect the new season to continue the thrilling action from where the Season 1 finale left off. In the finale, Luke and Emma’s identities were compromised, making them potential targets for criminal organizations in Season 2. Additionally, the identity of the Russian double agent in the CIA was revealed, setting up an exciting storyline to be explored in the espionage series’ second season.
