Mew Full Art Pokémon Card Unveiled in Pokémon TCG Announcement

The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon Card 151 introduces a Full Art version of Mew ex, which has recently been released in Japan prior to its debut in the USA alongside the Scarlet & Violet -151 expansion.

Pokémon TCG Japan has unveiled details about the upcoming expansion set called Pokémon Card 151, which is based on the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region. This set is particularly significant as it marks the return of Kadabra after a 21-year absence from the Pokémon TCG. Kadabra had been excluded from the game due to a legal dispute with magician Uri Geller, who believed the design of Kadabra was inspired by his spoon-bending technique. Three years ago, Geller withdrew his complaint and apologized to Pokémon fans. Additionally, unlike traditional sets, this expansion is organized in Pokédex order rather than by type. It was released in Japan on June 16th and will be the source of the first special set of the Scarlet & Violet era for English-language collectors, known as Scarlet & Violet -151. In this article, we will explore the Full Art Mew ex card from this set.

Mew is my all-time favorite Mythical Pokémon, and it has received some of the most stunning Full Art cards in the history of the Pokémon TCG. Notable mentions are the Lisa Frank-esque vibe from Black & White – Dragons Exalted, the glittery Radiant Collection card from Black & White – Legendary Treasures (which is one of my Top 10 cards), and the breathtaking XY Black Star Promo Full Art. We also had the Mewtwo & Mew Full Art GX in Sun & Moon – Unified Minds and the soft-hued Sword & Shield – Fusion Strike Full Art. Now, aky CG Works has created this spectacular Full Art ex card.

Japanese sets often provide insights into what English-language sets may contain, so make sure to stay tuned for our coverage. We will bring you previews of Scarlet & Violet cards and updates on everything related to the Pokémon TCG right here at Bleeding Cool.
