LinkedIn: LinkedIn working on an AI ‘coach’, here’s how it may help users

Microsoft has consistently integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into all its products and services, including LinkedIn. Now, LinkedIn is reportedly working on an AI tool called LinkedIn Coach, aimed at helping users in their job search and application process. The tool is designed to support users by teaching them new skills, assisting with networking, and guiding them through the application process. The existence of this tool was first discovered by app researcher Nima Owji, who shared details about it on Twitter.

The screenshot shared by Owji highlights the features of LinkedIn Coach. With the power of AI, LinkedIn Coach aims to make job searching easier and help users learn new skills, connect with their network, and apply for jobs. However, LinkedIn acknowledges that as a new tool, it may still have some areas to improve.

In response to the discovery, LinkedIn spokesperson Amanda Purvis stated that the company is always exploring new ways to enhance the user experience on the platform and will provide more information soon.

This AI-powered tool is just one part of LinkedIn’s journey in incorporating AI into its platform. In addition to LinkedIn Coach, the platform is also developing other AI chatbots. For example, there is an AI chatbot that generates content for user profiles and job descriptions, as well as an AI chatbot that quickly writes posts for users to share with their network. Director of Product at LinkedIn, Keren Baruch, has expressed that the company is currently testing a way for members to use generative AI directly within the LinkedIn share box.
