Leaked: Nothing Phone 2 Price and Storage Options; Potential Higher Cost Than the UK’s Nothing Phone 1

Nothing, the UK startup led by Carl Pei, is gearing up to reveal the Nothing Phone 2 on July 11 through a virtual event. As anticipation builds for the successor to the Nothing Phone 1, rumors about its features and specifications are circulating online. A recent report from a French media outlet has provided details about the European pricing, RAM and storage configurations, and color options of the Nothing Phone 1. It appears that the Nothing Phone 2 will be more expensive than its predecessor due to the upgraded chipset. The flagship device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and is rumored to offer up to 12GB of RAM and a maximum of 512GB of onboard storage.

According to a report from Dealabs, the Nothing Phone 2 will have a price tag of EUR 729 (approximately Rs. 65,600) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and EUR 849 (approximately Rs. 76,500) for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model. The smartphone will reportedly be available in black and white colors.

The report indicates a significant price increase for the successor to the Nothing Phone 1. The initial price of the smartphone in the European markets for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant was EUR 469. The higher cost can be attributed to the chipset upgrade, with the Nothing Phone 2 confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In comparison, the Nothing Phone 1 is powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.

The Nothing Phone 1 was launched in July last year with an initial price of Rs. 32,999 in India. The company later increased the price of the smartphone by Rs. 1,000.

The Nothing Phone 2 is set to be launched on July 11 through a virtual event, which will be live-streamed via the company’s official channels. The upcoming device will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart, according to the company.
