Bollywood veteran actress Jaya Bachchan has often grabbed headlines for her witty comments. Recently, she talked about how the internet affects young people, causing anxiety attacks, on her granddaughter Navya’s show called “What the hell Navya Season 2.” The episode, named ‘Swipe Scroll Snap,’ had Navya, her mom Shweta Nanda, and Jaya Bachchan discussing how the internet isn’t just for information or fun anymore; it’s become something much bigger.

The Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham actress talks about how the internet can make young people feel like they need approval, which can make them stressed and anxious. In the episode, she said, “Even if you don’t realize it, you might be stressed. When we were kids, we never heard of anxiety attacks. Not even when we are now older. So, where does this come from? It comes from constantly getting a lot of information. Like, how does this girl look? How is she doing her nails and makeup? Anxiety comes from having too much information.”

However, her daughter, Shweta Nanda disagreed with her. She said that anxiety has always been present but is more identifiable in modern times.
