CGC organizes conference on impact of AI innovations on businesses

Chandigarh, March 9,2024: A two-day international conference discussing the Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations on business and computing practices was organised by the Chandigarh Business School of Administration (CBSA) CGC Landran, in collaboration with Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC), India. 


It brought together academic researchers, industry experts, and educators to discuss how advancements in AI Technologies would shape businesses and management strategies in the near future.


The conference aimed to highlight the implications and impact of these tech-innovations on the industry through a series of panel discussions, and interactive sessions. A souvenir was also released to mark the occasion. 


The discussions at the two-day conference revolved around four topics namely – Advancements in AI led data analytics techniques; Impact of AI in domains of Marketing, HR, Finance and Operation management; New trends in AI innovations in computing practices and new trends in AI innovations in sustainable practices. 


Dr. Christopher Cook, Executive Director for Admissions and Recruitment, University of Idaho, USA, joined the conference as Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests gracing this event were r. Yadu Kumar Yadav, Deputy Director (NPC), Under DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India; Mr. Aman Gulati Deputy Director NPC, DPIIT, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India; Ms. Liji Thomas, seasoned technologist and thought leader; Mr Navdeep Singh Gill, Founder and CEO, Xenon Stack and Mr. Vineet Khurana CEO, SACC India. 


They were welcomed by Dr. P.N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director, CGC Landran, and Prof. (Dr.) Ramandeep Saini, Director Principal, CBSA.


In keeping with CGC’s concerted efforts at creating enhanced industry-academia dialogue and idea exchange, this conference provided a great opportunity facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration on the transformative role that AI would play in shaping the future of business and computing, said Prof. (Dr.) Ramandeep Saini, Director Principal, CBSA, CGC Landran.


 By fostering cross-sectoral engagement and knowledge exchange, this conference helped our students to have a better understanding of AI technologies and their responsible integration into society, she added.
