We may have missed it at first, but upon closer inspection of the Season 5 poster for What We Do in the Shadows, it’s revealed that Guillermo may become a vampire after all. Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry, Mark Proksch, and Kristen Schaal are all seen taking flight, while Guillermo (played by Harvey Guillén) sports a tin set of wings. Does this confirm a major storyline or is it simply thematic art? Could it be a clever swerve? We’ll have to wait and see…
Harvey Guillén Talks Guillermo’s Journey in Season 5 of What We Do in the Shadows
In EW’s 2023 Pride Issue, Harvey Guillén opened up about his character’s motives in Season 5 of What We Do in the Shadows. According to Guillén, Guillermo is done waiting for his turn to become a vampire and is taking matters into his own hands. The season will pick up where it left off, with Guillermo fast-tracking his transformation through any means necessary. Guillén explained that becoming a vampire at a young age is crucial, especially for someone like Guillermo who wants to avoid regrets later in life. Fans will have to tune in to see where this storyline goes.
