Nvidia unveiled its latest graphics cards, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. These new models offer improved performance and features for gamers, video editors, 3D artists, and content creators.
The more powerful GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is available in 8GB and 16GB memory configurations, while the RTX 4060 model comes with 8GB of memory. Both cards support Nvidia’s deep learning super sampling (DLSS) technology, benefiting over 300 games and upcoming titles like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and Diablo IV.
According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is 1.7 times faster than the previous-generation GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. It boasts 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 video memory and 32MB of L2 cache. On the other hand, the GeForce RTX 4060 has 24MB of L2 cache and is available with 8GB of memory.
Nvidia emphasizes that these graphics cards offer significant improvements in encoding efficiency, with a 40 percent boost thanks to the eighth NVENC video encoder. Additionally, 3D artists can expect a 45 percent increase in performance compared to last year’s RTX 3060 GPU series.
The pricing for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti starts at Rs. 41,000 for the 8GB variant and will be available for purchase on May 24. The 16GB version will be priced at Rs. 51,000 and will be released in July, along with the GeForce RTX 4060 with 8GB of memory, which will be priced at Rs. 31,000. For reference, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti starts at Rs. 80,000, while the RTX 4070 starts at Rs. 62,000.
Nvidia’s new GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture feature third-generation ray tracing (RT) cores and fourth-generation Tensor cores, which improve AI tasks such as Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology.
