Through the wonders of science, Korvo from “Solar Opposites” now has a new voice. The show has cast Dan Stevens to take over the role from Season 4 onwards, replacing co-creator Justin Roiland. In a new video, Korvo’s voice change is explained within the show’s universe, attributing it to a mishap involving Terry and a dartboard from “Cheers.” The video ends with Stevens narrating the series intro, cementing his role as Korvo for all future episodes and flashbacks. When faced with any dissatisfaction, Stevens boldly proclaims, “Tough shit, it’s called science!”
In the world of “Solar Opposites,” Stevens joins the existing cast, which includes Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone. Stevens is known for his role in “Downton Abbey” as Matthew Crawley and for playing the Beast in the live-action remake of “Beauty and the Beast” alongside Emma Watson. He has also appeared in Hulu’s “Welcome to Chippendales” series. Other notable credits include “I’m Your Man,” “Gaslit,” and “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.”

Stevens joined the cast of “Solar Opposites” following Roiland’s departure due to domestic violence charges. Despite the charges being dropped, the fallout from the incident led to strained relationships between Roiland and the entertainment industry. As a result, Stevens stepped in to replace him not only in “Solar Opposites” but also in “Koala Man” and “Rick and Morty,” which is still searching for a new lead. The Hollywood Reporter exposed Roiland’s questionable behavior behind the scenes, further damaging his reputation. However, the show will continue with Mike McMahan as the sole showrunner for Season 4.
