FDA Approves Eroxon as the First OTC Gel for Treating Erectile Dysfunction

In exciting news, Futura Medical has announced the FDA’s approval of Eroxon as a new topical treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). Unlike traditional oral medications such as Viagra and Cialis, Eroxon is a gel that can be applied directly onto the penis to assist with achieving an erection. What’s more, it will be available over-the-counter, eliminating the need for awkward conversations with a doctor. Eroxon is expected to have an advantage over PDE inhibitors due to its quick efficacy. According to the Eroxon website, applying the gel takes only 15 seconds, and if the gel works, an erection should occur within 10 minutes. This is a significant improvement over traditional medications that can take up to an hour to kick in. With the global ED drugs market predicted to grow to $5.94 billion by 2028, it’s expected that Eroxon will be a game-changer in the U.S. market, where North America accounts for more than half of the total revenue from ED medications. Furthermore, the gel’s unique formula offers a recovery warming effect that stimulates deep blood vessels in the penis, leading to increased blood flow and an erection. Although the gel’s effects aren’t guaranteed, it’s been shown to last long enough for successful sex to occur in around 65% of people. Once available in the U.S., the cost of Eroxon has yet to be determined, but in the U.K., four single-use tubes are priced at approximately $31.49. Keep an eye out for the release of Eroxon and its potential to revolutionize the ED treatment market.
