Diablo 4: Best Necromancer Aspects, Ranked

Diablo 4 offers players a vast array of over 300 unique Aspects to choose from, with certain classes having exclusive access to specific ones. For instance, Necromancers can only access 62 of them. While you can collect these powerful upgrades regardless of your chosen class, you can only equip Aspects that align with your current class. The collection of Aspects begins early in the game, but you can only imprint them onto items once you reach level 25 and unlock the Occultist. One efficient method of acquiring new Aspects is by completing Dungeons, especially during the early stages of the game. Extracting Aspects from Legendary items at the Occultist is another option, but keep in mind that these are considered consumable items. Once an extracted Aspect is imprinted onto a different item, it vanishes from inventory and cannot be extracted again from the newly imprinted item. It’s worth noting that while this process applies to Legendary items, it is not applicable to Unique items.

Additionally, more relevant guides and articles have been linked to provide additional information.

20. Flesh-Rending Aspect
The Flesh-Rending Aspect is a straightforward Imprint that grants Necromancers 10 Essence whenever Decompose spawns a corpse. Since Necromancer spells tend to be costly in terms of Essence, an Aspect that enables faster Essence recovery should not be overlooked. While the Flesh-Rending Aspect loses effectiveness in the late game, it proves particularly helpful in the early stages. With Decompose spawning a corpse every 2.5 seconds, you can expect to obtain 10 free Essence at the same rate with the base skill. Investing a skill point into Advanced Decompose enhances Essence generation even further, granting an additional 10 Essence whenever an enemy dies while being Decomposed. This skill synergizes well with the Flesh-Rending Aspect. The Flesh-Rending Aspect can be obtained by completing the Nostrava Deepwood dungeon in Fractured Peaks.

19. Fastblood Aspect
The Fastblood Aspect is a valuable upgrade for Necromancer builds that heavily rely on Ultimate abilities. This Aspect reduces the cooldown of your Ultimate by 0.5 seconds whenever the Necromancer picks up a Blood Orb. Although a 0.5-second cooldown reduction may not seem significant, certain builds can regularly drop Blood Orbs, making Fastblood Aspect highly effective. It pairs exceptionally well with the Blood Wave Ultimate, as the Supreme Blood Wave upgrade allows the Ultimate to spawn three Blood Orbs with each cast. Hemorrhage is the recommended Basic skill for generating Blood Orbs consistently, especially when combined with the Enhanced Hemorrhage upgrade. When used alongside skills that generate Blood Orbs, the Fastblood Aspect significantly reduces Ultimate cooldowns. The Fastblood Aspect can be obtained by completing the Iron Hold dungeon in Hawezar.

18. Aspect Of Grasping Veins
Corpse Tendrils is already a powerful spell, but the Aspect of Grasping Veins enhances it further. This Aspect provides two buffs: the first grants Necromancers a flat 10% increased Critical Strike Chance on all attacks when casting Corpse Tendrils, lasting for 6 seconds. With a base cooldown of only 9 seconds at max level, you can effectively trigger this buff almost all the time. The Aspect’s second buff is even more potent, offering 30% bonus Critical Strike Damage against enemies affected by the spell. Given the considerable radius of Corpse Tendrils, you can expect many enemies to be affected. To maximize the Aspect of Grasping Veins, consider picking up the Plagued Corpse Tendrils upgrade, which inflicts the Vulnerable status effect, increasing enemy damage taken by 20%. The Aspect of Grasping Veins can be obtained by completing the Corrupted Grotto dungeon in Kehjistan.

17. Aspect Of Disobedience
The Aspect of Disobedience serves as a defensive upgrade that can be utilized by classes other than Necromancers. This Aspect grants 0.25% Armor for 4 seconds whenever the player deals any form of damage. Individually, this effect may not be impressive, but it’s important to note that it stacks up to 25%. Since it applies to all forms of damage, you can rely on Damage over Time effects and even minion damage to contribute to this effect. Necromancers can be vulnerable if defensive abilities such as Blood Surge or Dreadful Bone Prison are not invested in. However, doing so requires skill points that could be allocated elsewhere. With the Aspect of Disobedience, you can opt for a Darkness build or Corruption build without worrying about allocating points to Blood or Bone skills. The Aspect of Disobedience can be obtained by completing the Halls of the Damned dungeon in Kehjistan.

16. Aspect Of Inner Calm
The Aspect of Inner Calm can be utilized by multiple classes but proves particularly valuable for casters like Necromancers. This Aspect increases damage by 5% every second the player remains stationary, up to a maximum of 30%. A 30% damage increase is substantial, and you only need to remain still for 6 seconds to reap the full benefits. Admittedly, this may seem like a lengthy time to stand still during combat, but it is manageable for most instances as a Necromancer. Channeled spells such as Decompose work particularly well with the Aspect of Inner Calm, as they require stationary casting. Additionally, projectile spells and certain area-of-effect spells yield good results. The nature of the encounter also plays a significant role. The Aspect of Inner Calm is unhelpful when facing mobile bosses like the Butcher, but it becomes exceptionally powerful against bosses who stay in one location for more extended periods. The Aspect of Inner Calm can be obtained by completing the Raethwind Wilds dungeon in Scosglen.

15. Rotting Aspect
Decompose serves as one of the most effective Basic skills for Necromancers, as it generates Essence, inflicts damage, and creates corpses. Even without enhancements, this spell can generate a decent number of corpses. However, if you rely heavily on corpses for your build, the Rotting Aspect is a must-have. This Aspect has the potential to double or even triple the rate at which Decompose spawns corpses, opening up opportunities for synergies. The Rotting Aspect causes Decompose to chain to additional targets, with a chance to spawn corpses under each target. Additionally, when paired with the Initiate’s Decompose upgrade, it inflicts Slow on additional targets, while the Acolyte’s Decompose upgrade increases damage taken by 10%. The Rotting Aspect can also be combined with the Flesh-Rending Aspect for significantly enhanced Essence generation.

14. Aspect Of Reanimation
One of the most appealing aspects of playing as a Necromancer is having your own personal army of undead minions. While your minions start off weak, skills and Aspects like the Aspect of Reanimation can transform them into a formidable fighting force. This Aspect increases the damage of all Skeleton minions, with the potential to increase their effectiveness by a…
