The Asus ROG Ally, the first handheld gaming PC running on Windows 11, was launched in India on Wednesday. With its 7-inch LCD display, it has the capability to handle AAA titles as well as simpler games at 1080p resolution. The global market saw the launch of two variants of the ROG Ally, which are equipped with AMD’s new Z1 and Z1 Extreme chipsets. However, the Indian variant comes with the Z1 Extreme chip, accompanied by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage. Additionally, it boasts a 40Whr battery that can be charged at 65W via a USB Type-C port.

In terms of pricing and availability, the Asus ROG Ally in India is priced at Rs. 69,990 for the RC71L model featuring the AMD Z1 Extreme processor. It is available for purchase through the Asus e-shop, Flipkart, as well as Asus and ROG stores.

Asus is also offering a cashback of Rs. 2,000 on no-cost EMI transactions from select banks. Furthermore, customers who buy the ROG Ally before July 15 will receive a case worth Rs. 2,000 for just Rs. 1, according to Asus.

Its 7-inch full-HD IPS LCD display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 7ms response time, and up to 500 nits of peak brightness. The RC71L model available in India is powered by an octa-core 4nm AMD Z1 Extreme processor and AMD RDNA3 graphics with 4GB of VRAM (expandable up to 8GB). For memory, it offers 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of NVMe storage, expandable via a UHS-II MicroSD 4.0 card slot.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. The Asus ROG Ally also features a USB Type-C port for charging its 40Whr battery at 65W. It is equipped with two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an array microphone with AI-backed noise cancellation technology. The console includes thumbsticks, ABXY buttons, a D-pad, analogue triggers, and bumpers. In terms of dimensions, it measures 280 x 111 x 21.2mm and weighs 608g.
