The Last Resort
Nintendo recently revealed that the protagonist of Pikmin 4 will be you, or rather, whatever wacky character you can create using the game’s character creator. Unlike previous games in the series, which had pre-defined explorers, this one will offer gamers the chance to put together a unique character.
The trailer released by Nintendo shows the game’s story, in which Captain Olimar crashes on planet PNF-404 once more. A new rescue mission is launched to help retrieve him and his team. The newest recruit to the rescue corps is tasked with rescuing the rescuers in this unique plotline.
What’s interesting is that the trailer indicates that the player’s character is at the bottom of the rescue hierarchy. Unlike Olimar and other characters, it appears that the new character has no spaceship and is thus the least experienced member of the rescue team, which may make for an entertaining gaming experience.
Pikmin 4, which has been eagerly awaited for years, will be launched on the Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2023. While some are concerned that the dungeon caves from previous games may return, players cannot wait to explore the new world and experience the character creator.
