‘Complete Leak of ‘The Flash’ Surfaces on Twitter’

It is widely acknowledged that The Flash is on track to become one of the most disappointing films of the year. However, a recent report indicates that not even the superhero’s lightning-fast abilities can save him from this downward spiral. Surprising Twitter users, the account @BriYoshFR uploaded the full 144-minute movie, allowing viewers to watch it in its entirety. Although the account was swiftly suspended, the movie garnered an impressive 1.7 million views during its eight-hour availability.

This leak has significant implications for DC Studios, as The Flash has already struggled to generate impressive ticket sales worldwide. Despite an initial projection of being a summer blockbuster, the film’s domestic debut of $55 million fell short. The leaked Twitter stream suggests that at least one million potential viewers may no longer feel the need to venture out to theaters to witness the DC multiverse and its anticipated cameos.

One of the major factors affecting viewers’ engagement with the film is the notoriously poor CGI in The Flash. Audiences have not come to expect this level of visual quality from movies with such large budgets. Another factor that may have turned viewers away is the controversy surrounding Ezra Miller, the actor who portrays Barry Allen. Warner Bros. downplayed his behavior during production and at the movie’s premiere. Additionally, DC Studios underestimated the popularity of Barry Allen as a solo character, which led them to include fan-favorite Batman (Michael Keaton) to attract more interest.

These factors collectively influence a moviegoer’s decision to leave the comfort of their homes and go to the theater. Unfortunately for The Flash, it fails to sway the scales in its favor. So far, the movie has grossed just over $200 million worldwide, a relatively low number compared to other summer blockbusters like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ($560M) and Fast X ($689M), as well as past DC flops like Black Adam ($393M).

If you’re still interested, The Flash is currently playing in theaters. Check out the trailer below:
