Get Ready to Groove with the Hi-Fi Rush Arcade Challenge Update on July 5
Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush has been one of the unexpected hits of 2022, and fans are in for a treat with the upcoming Arcade Challenge update. The free-of-charge update will be available to download on PC and Xbox platforms starting July 5, and promises a fresh wave of day-glo colors and block-rockin’ beats.
During Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase event, the team revealed that the new update includes two exciting game modes bound to keep players engaged. The first mode, BPM Rush, requires players to face wave after wave of increasingly challenging enemies while keeping up with the beat for bonus points. The BPM will increase with each wave, making it an endurance test for all but the most rhythmic melee warriors.
The second mode, Power Up! Tower Up!, is a variant of Hi-Fi Rush’s Rhythm Tower mode. Players can select from various buffs and nerfs between rounds at the cost (or increase) of their score multipliers and other bonuses. Essentially, it’s up to the player to decide if they want to increase their powers in exchange for a higher score or reduce their abilities for a chance at big numbers.
The update also includes new challenges that award players with clothing for Chai and Korsica, new poses and filters for Photo Mode, and special attacks that get an assist from robo-friendos CNMN and Smidge. If you’re a fan of the game, don’t miss out on this fantastic update.
