According to one source, the inevitability of the Apple Car is a matter of timing

Apple has kept the details of its highly anticipated Apple Car under wraps for quite some time now, but according to industry analyst Daniel Ives of Wedbush Securities, the launch of the electric vehicle is inevitable and expected to happen by the end of 2026. Ives, who previously made similar claims in 2021, remains consistent in his prediction.

While Apple itself has never made any formal announcements about the car, Ives had previously suggested that the company would partner with an established automaker, although this partnership has yet to materialize. Nevertheless, Ives has been accurate in some of his other Apple predictions, so there is still hope for the Apple Car.

It is possible that the delayed launch of the Apple Car is due to Apple focusing on the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro. Ives did not provide any additional details about the car, but he reiterated that it is still on its way.

“We’ll see what Apple does”

Speculation surrounding the Apple Car may have diminished in recent months, but rumors have persisted for years. Apple’s recruitment of executives from companies like Tesla and its involvement in autonomous car testing in California have fueled these rumors and suggest that an Apple Car is indeed in the works.

However, skepticism remains as to whether an Apple Car will come to fruition. Entering the auto industry would be a significant and ambitious move for Apple, and it is possible that the rumors we’ve heard are actually related to Apple’s plans for its CarPlay software.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has been tight-lipped about the company’s self-driving vehicle plans, responding to inquiries by saying, “We’ll see what Apple does,” leaving us all in anticipation of the tech giant’s next move.
