Aptly named films are often effective in indicating the nature of their content, and in that regard, the movie “Deadly Mile High Club” does a remarkable job. However, as one would expect, the film is just as ridiculous as its title suggests. Surprisingly, this hasn’t deterred streaming subscribers from watching it.
According to FlixPatrol, this Lifetime original, now available on Paramount Plus, has been steadily climbing the most-watched charts, despite a dismal 14 percent audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
As the name suggests, “Deadly Mile High Club” features steamy scenes intertwined with a murderous plot. An unstable flight instructor attempts to manipulate one of her students into falling in love with her. How does she do this? By eliminating everyone else in his life, using suggestive language, and engaging in an aerial action sequence that would rival Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick”.
Those seeking high-quality art should look elsewhere, but Paramount Plus subscribers have identified “Deadly Mile High Club” as a must-watch for its absurdity. However, approaching the movie with expectations of anything remotely good is a recipe for disappointment, as the third act primarily takes place on a rapidly descending plane.
