Recent rumors from the San Diego Comic-Con reveal that DC Comics is set to release a unique comic series titled “Hex And Violence” featuring the beloved characters Zatanna and Robot Man later this year.
Emerging from the exciting bar discussions at the Machester Hyatt lobby bars in San Diego, just before the start of the San Diego Comic-Con, sources indicate that DC Comics has plans to publish a thrilling Zatanna comic book series. This series will star Cliff Steele, also known as Robot Man. It is expected to follow the successful conclusion of “The Unstoppable Doom Patrol” six-issue mini-series. Zatanna’s participation in the mini-series, during the Knight Terrors event, served as a backdoor pilot for the upcoming series. Robot Man, being one of the few exceptions to the sleep-inducing effects of Insomnia, played a significant role. However, his transformation into the Sleepless Knight known as Rustbringer is likely not a permanent change.
While no creative team has been officially announced, speculation points towards the talented creators behind “Knight Terrors: Zatanna,” including Dennis Culver, David Baldeon, and Rain Beredo, or the team responsible for “The Unstoppable Doom Patrol,” Dennis Culver, Chris Burnham, and Brian Reber. Dennis Culver is a strong contender to serve as the writer for the new series.
Interestingly, the comic series will not adopt the straightforward title of “Zatanna & Robot Man.” Instead, it will embrace the more playful and intriguing name of “Hex And Violence.” Fans can expect further details and possibly an official announcement during this week’s San Diego Comic-Con.
