Did you know that the release of the
iPhone 15 series is just a little over two months away? It’s exciting to think that soon we’ll start hearing about the
iPhone 16 line, followed by the iPhone 17 leaks. But for now, let’s focus on the latest rumors surrounding the color options for the 2023 iPhone 15 lineup from
Apple.
Earlier this year, there was speculation that Red would be the exclusive color for the iPhone 15 Pro series. However, a Twitter tipster named
Unknownz21 recently tweeted that Red won’t be the special color this year. Instead, according to
9to5Mac, a reliable tipster who accurately predicted Apple’s Dark Purple color option for the iPhone 14 Pro line last year has revealed on Weibo that the new exclusive colors for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be a deep “crimson” Red.

While the tipster mentions that the new color for the iPhone 15 Pro won’t be as dark as the purple on the iPhone 14 Pro, it will still be a rich shade. Additionally, the tipster states that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will come in a new Green color option, reminiscent of the light mint shade used on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12. Other rumors suggest possible color options for the non-Pro iPhone 15 models include Midnight, Starlight, Product Red, Pink, and Blue.
The non-Pro iPhone 15 models are set to receive the Dynamic Island feature and a powerful 48MP primary camera this year. They will be equipped with the A16 Bionic chipset, which is currently found on the iPhone 14 Pro line.
On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to feature a titanium body. These premium 2023 iPhone models will be the only smartphones this year to utilize a chipset manufactured using the advanced 3nm process node (the A17 Bionic). The iPhone 15 Pro Max might even boast a periscope lens for 5x-6x optical zoom, an improvement over the current 3x optical zoom available on the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will charge via USB-C, replacing the proprietary Lightning port.
