WHATSAPP has added a series of new codes that will transform how users message.
The popular messaging app already allowed people to make changes such as bold or italics so texts can stand out.
You could even strikethrough words or space letters out with monopause.
But now the Meta-owned app has added four brand new formatting shortcuts.
The first lets you easily create bullet points which is ideal for things like shopping lists.
WhatsApp will also create automatic numbering lists too, a feature that may come in handy for instructions.
Block quote helps you highlight certain messages.
And inline code is usually for geeky computing but you can use it at anytime to add a shaded background to a specific text.

How to use WhatsApp’s secret codes
Bold
To make chunks of text bold in WhatsApp, simple add an asterisks * symbol at the beginning and end of the bit you want in bold.
Italics
You can make specifics words and phrases appear in italics by adding an underscore symbol _ before and after.
Strikethrough
To strikethrough bits of text, just add a tilde ~ before and after text.
Monospace
To use monospace, put three backticks “` before and after text.
Bullet points
To create a bullet list on WhatsApp, just type a dash – and it’ll automatically convert to a bullet point.
Numbered list
To start a numbered list on WhatsApp, begin by typing “1.” and when you hit the return button it’ll automatically follow with “2.” etc.
Block quote
To insert a block quote, add the greater-than sign > at the beginning.
Inline code
To add inline code, add a single backtick ` at the beginning and end of a message.
