Verizon’s 5G Home Internet Now Comes With a $200 Amazon Gift Card & a Xbox Series X With a 5-Year Price Lock Guarantee (Ends Tonight!)

Still just been thinking about getting Verizon’s 5G Home Internet? Want to make sure you know what your home internet price will be for the next several years? For a limited time, Verizon is offering a price lock guarantee for its 5G home internet service that lasts five years. Plus right now, online only, you can get an Xbox Series X and a $200 gift card or an Echo Show 10 if you sign up for the Verizon 5G Home Plus plan at $45 a month. The only catch is this offer will come to an end tonight January 3, 2024.

The good news is if you don’t care about the Xbox or Amazon gift card the price lock guarantee is for new customers hangs around until it expires on January 17th, 2024. This will give you access to Verizon’s unlimited data home internet service through 2028 at the same rate if you sign up today. Previously, the typical price lock would last two years.

With Verizon’s 5G Home Internet, you get to pick from two options.  Both plans offer the same speeds, but there are some differences in the bonus you can get.

Verizon’s 5G Home starts at $35, offers a Wi-Fi 6 router, but requires you to bundle it with Verizon Wireless service. The price lock went from 2 years to 5 years.

Verizon’s 5G Home Plus starts at $45 and offers a Wi-Fi 6 router, and comes with the company’s unlimited cloud backup. Right now you can get an Echo Show 10 or a $200 Amazon gift card with Home Plus along with an Xbox Series X. The price lock went from 3 years to 5 years.

This all comes as Verizon recently announced plans to expand its 5G Home Internet into new markets. Last week, Joe Russo, Verizon’s president of global networks and technology spoke at the Wells Fargo TMT Summit Conference and discussed the business’s growth potential. During the talk, he was asked about how many subscribers Verizon can add to its 5G Home Internet service and if the goals for adding 350,000 to 400,000 new subscribers per quarter were realistic. “We think we have a long runway to continue that level of performance each quarter,” said Russo. “As we use the spectrum we’ve already deployed and start to expand into new markets.”

This movement into cord cutting 2.0 has rapidly sped up in 2023, and now Verizon says it plans to expand its 5G Home Internet service into new markets.
