The latest expansion of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game, titled “Wild Resurgence”, showcases the Super Saiyan God Trunks character from the Xenoverse games and promotional anime.
Bandai has released the newest expansion for the Dragon Ball Super Card Game. Initially rumored to be called “Zenkai Series – Resurgence”, it was later confirmed as “Zenkai Series – Wild Resurgence”. This set is the fourth expansion of the Zenkai Series and the 21st main series set. Notably, it includes a God Rare card, the first since September 2022’s “Dawn of the Z-Legends” expansion which featured Bardock. The set focuses on the Golden Frieza Saga, the “Dead Zone” film, the Baby Saga from GT, and The Cell Games.
In this set, we get to see Trunks in his Super Saiyan God form, which was introduced in the “Realm of the Gods” set from early 2022. Two cards featuring this form are:
- SSG Trunks, Guiding Light Z-Awaken card
- SSG Trunks, Sealing Power
In the main timeline, Trunks never achieved this form. Instead, he remains a Super Saiyan, while Future Trunks progresses to Super Saiyan 2 and later the unique Super Saiyan Rage form. Only Xeno Trunks attains the Super Saiyan God form.
