IF you struggle to sleep at night or need music to destress, a lesser-known iPhone trick could help you out.
It’s called Background Sounds and iPhone users can find it in their Settings menu.
Head to Settings and then click to open the Accessibility tab.
Next, scroll down to Hearing and click on the Audio/Visual option.
Here you will see the Background Sounds setting and can switch it on.
You’ll also see a note from Apple that explains the feature.
“Plays background sounds to mask unwanted environmental noise.
“These sounds can minimize distractions and help you to focus, be calm, or rest.”
Turn Background Sounds on and then click the same tab.
This will take you to a page where you can select the sound for you.

Click on Sound and you’ll see the full list of options.
It includes Bright Noise, Dark Noise, Rain, Ocean, and Stream sounds.
You’ll also be able to select the volume of the sound.
You can also decide whether it can play while other media is playing.
To get your sound of choice to play in just three clicks of the side button you’ll need to head back to Settings and find the Action Button option.
Scroll through until you can change the meaning of the button to the Background Sounds accessibility feature.
