Criteria for Ranking Warzone 2 / Modern Warfare 2 Guns:
– Time-To-Kill
– Recoil Control and Stability
– Damage
– Range
– Mobility
– Bullet Velocity

COD Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 LMG Tier List:

Tier S:
– RPK
– RAAL MG

Tier A:
– Sakin MG3B
– 556 Icarus

Tier B:
– HCR 56

Tier C:
– RAPP H

Best LMG in Warzone 2 & MW2 – Light Machine Guns:

RPK:
– Fire Rate: 600 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 590 M/S
– Ammo: 75
– ADS Time: 445ms
– Reload Time: 3.08s / 4.3s

For accurate players who can consistently land close-range headshots, the RPK is the top choice among LMG’s, narrowly surpassing the slower, heavy-hitting RAAL MG. Interestingly, it has the fastest Time-To-Kill for limb shots among all LMG’s, but the slowest for upper torso shots. Its performance is average for mid-to-long-range encounters. The RPK also offers excellent handling and mobility, while maintaining decent range and recoil control. Overall, it is a reliable option for most scenarios.

RAAL MG:
– Fire Rate: 556 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 730 M/S
– Ammo: 75
– ADS Time: 510ms
– Reload Time: 6.7s / 7.7s

The RAAL MG delivers the heaviest damage among Light Machine Guns, making it ideal for long-range encounters in Warzone 2. However, it has a significantly low fire rate and lacks handling and mobility, which puts players at a disadvantage in close-quarters combat.

Great LMGs for Warzone 2 & MW2 – Light Machine Guns:

Sakin MG3B:
– Fire Rate: 652 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 700 M/S
– Ammo: 100
– ADS Time: 460ms
– Reload Time: 6.3s / 7.5s

The Sakin MG3B is a solid choice, especially considering it is available as a default weapon unlock. It performs well in long-range encounters and can still be effective in mid-range fights. It offers a good balance of damage, range, and recoil control. However, its reload speed is slow, particularly for a partial reload, and even worse for an empty reload.

556 Icarus:
– Fire Rate: 779 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 700 M/S
– Ammo: 75
– ADS Time: 370ms
– Reload Time: 5.67s / 6.47s

While the 556 Icarus may not excel in distance battles compared to other LMG’s, it compensates with high mobility, excellent handling, and a fast fire rate. These qualities make it the top choice for close-range encounters.

Good LMG MW2 / Warzone 2 – Light Machine Guns:

HCR 56:
– Fire Rate: 741 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 700 M/S
– Ammo: 60
– ADS Time: 425ms
– Reload Time: 2.63s / 3.63s

The HCR 56 performs well in the 40-50m range and functions adequately in close-range situations. However, it is not as effective as the 556 Icarus in most scenarios. It has a high rate of fire and fast reload time, but a low number of downs per magazine, which contributes to its lower ranking on this list.

Worst LMG in MW2 / Warzone 2 – Light Machine Guns:

RAPP H:
– Fire Rate: 800 RPM
– Bullet Velocity: 700 M/S
– Ammo: 75
– ADS Time: 480ms
– Reload Time: 5.55s / 7.06s

The RAPP H is one of the least desirable choices in the LMG category. It lacks standout attributes, including the lowest damage per bullet and a smaller ammo count. Its handling is slow, although slightly better than the RAAL MG. Additionally, it has poor recoil control, making it challenging to handle when engaging opponents beyond mid-range.
